Some people believe that it is impossible for a country to be both economically successful and have a clean environment. Others disagree. Discuss both view and give your opinion

Today, many countries are striving to achieve financial stability as it promotes economic and environmental sustainability. However, there are people who say that it is unfeasible for a country to achieve success in both areas. This paper will discuss both views and explain my opinion why I disagree with this statement.

To start with, achieving economic stability is one of the main objectives of all countries. To become economically successful means citizens of that country have a high level of satisfaction. For example, a strong economy will help workers earn high. A strong economy can improve the well-being and health of the people, but economic growth usually contributes to environmental problems. Environmental issues such as water and air pollution and increase in waste generation are common problems in growing economies.

On the contrary, many individuals claim that economically successful countries appear to pollute less because they have the capacity to enforce stricter environmental regulations. One notable example is the banning of gasoline-powered cars in California starting 2035. This aggressive move has become a reality because this is an economically progressive state. They have the financial capability to support their policies. Therefore, this is a one false notion to say that having a clean environment could not be achieved in parallel with a successful economy.  

In conclusion, while there is evidence that economic progress can drive environmental problems but there are also possibilities that environmentalists can work along with the economist. In my opinion, people cannot abandon economic development for the seek of environmental sustainability as these two can be accomplished all together.
